Hey there, Freedom students!  This week, we’re going to talk about the word concern again!  First, let’s review from last week!

 

Concern (noun)–anxiety, worry

 

“The decreasing revenue following last quarter’s review is a concern of mine.”

 

We can also use concern as a verb!

 

Concern (verb)–to relate to, be about; make (someone) anxious, worried.

 

“The bad weather forecast really concerns me.  There are thunderstorms predicted for the day we start our business trip!”

 

Just like the noun, concern generally deals with something that makes you worry.  Bad weather when you have to travel, for example.  Let’s change last week’s sentence to use concern as a verb!

 

“Our decreasing revenue following last quarter’s review concerns me.”

 

Can you tell the difference?  Show off your skills with the word concern with two great sentences using it as a verb and as a noun!  Be sure to ask your teacher if you’re unsure!
