Hi there, Freedom students!  It’s a brand new week, and it is time for us to review some more great TOEIC vocabulary.

Overwhelm (verb)–to have too much of something; to bury under ground or cover with water; to feel an emotion too strongly.

“After his grandfather’s death, Joe was overwhelmed with guilt.”

“During year-end, most of the company’s employees are overwhelmed with work.”

What do you think?  Overall, the word overwhelm means to cover something or to have too much of something (so that it covers or buries you).  Can you use this word in an example sentence?  Show it off below and happy studying.
